Astragal – Garage Door Bottom Weatherstrip

Astragal is the bottom rubber weather seal on the bottom garage door section. It helps keep the elements out of your garage- wind debris, rain water, etc… These can be replaced when they become damaged over time. Sometimes rodents will chew through the corners of the weather strip to get to food in the garage such as dog or cat food. Usually the bottom weather strip lasts for many, many years.
