Its Safer to buy a new Garage Opener if your existing openers reversal does not work. Many times we change a wooden 1-piece door with a steel sectional and the Garage opener still works- but the reversal doesnt work. We recommend to our customers that they change out the motor in these cases.....Today we switched out some bent panels and installed a new opener. This was on a garage door we had installed two months ago
and reused the old motor.

When we installed it we explained that the reversal on the opener did not work and they ran the risk of bending the panels or worse. Their door cam e down on a object they left in the way( this old motor did not have safetybeams either) and the motor did not reverse did it bent the top 2 sections.

Now if your old motors reverse works by all means keep using it and save some cash.

We had no emergency door Repair Calls this weekend, which is good cause it was Easter, However it is Monday so its back to fixing and installin.
We have some great pictures of some recent garage door installs we have done, and we will begin to upload them up on this blog as soon as we work out some bugs on the server. Buy from a real garage door company- if you buy from Loews or the Depot, they will sell you a inferior product and they sub-out the job anyway to another company. So imagine if you run into a problem with the installation you call the H-depot, they try to get a hold of the original installer, and its a big ordeal. Not to mention they will take forever to get your door installed, we can usually get it installed the next day!

1.Make sure your safety beams are aligned right and the wires have a good connection.

2.Check the wires on the opener head make sure they are on snug and are not touching each other.

Knocked out a few steel sectionals today in Rancho Bernardo and Chula Vista, clean smooth installation and had some estimates for some Custom Wood Doors in Escondido and Encinitas. Thank God its Friday, no installations scheduled this weekend! Although surely someone will call for an emergency repair this weekend and thats cool we will hook it up!
